A Memory of Time

March 2017

SJB is pleased to announce ‘A Memory of Time’, an exhibition in collaboration with Swee Design and Gallerysmith.

Comprising a selection of amazing artworks, the exhibition will be featured in our Oliver Lane Studio for public enjoyment. As a practice working with the contemporary engagement of creative spaces, SJB is enormously proud to support and celebrate emerging and established artists. As such, the exhibition ranges from sculpture, to photography and painted pieces.

For SJB the inclusion of art within an interior environment is an extension of the design process: as necessary as furniture, textiles and accessories. Moreover, presenting an exhibition facilitates our desire to openly engage with creativity, where art, music, graphics and design are equally celebrated within the Studio environment. Hosting an exhibition additionally allows us to engage with a range of artwork, change of colours and a new look for our space. We felt this was key to gaining a better understanding of our tastes and to generally increase our understanding of art.

The exhibition also creates an avenue for meeting new people and creating like-minded connections. We are excited to showcase these artworks from established artists including Ngaio Lenz, Kirstin Berg, Adriane Strampp, Rachel Coad, Penelope Aitken, Jan Parker, Louise Rippert, Jo Scicluna, Emma Davies and Jo Wilson.

The exhibition can be viewed from Monday 27 March at our studio at Level 4, 18 Oliver Lane Melbourne VIC 3000. The pieces are available to view from 9.00am-5.30pm Monday to Friday.
